This devotional song "O Sabke Paalanhaari" is sung, written, and composed by Nikhar Juneja, who is also the founder of the Wagheshwari Mata Mandir. The song depicts the anguish and deep hope of a devotee who is in direct conversation with Lord Shiva. The song begins with "O Sabke Paalanhaari", where the devotee says that the crowd at God's door is immense, and he fears that by the time God listens to everyone, his turn will never come. Then he says that it doesn't matter if he cannot speak, because God can read his eyes, and if he has no voice, God can even hear the heartbeat of his heart.
In the song, the devotee shares his plight: he brought the mute devotees to the temple of God but could not enter himself; the burden on him is so heavy that even Nandi cannot bear it, and he prays for God to see his suffering. He asks, God gives eyes to the blind, gives the stream of the Ganga to the thirsty, but when will He give him a tongue? Then the song turns towards a deep social message, speaking of the ages (Yugas): the cow of Satyuga, Shri Ram in Treta, and the cows of Krishna in Dwapar. The question is raised: who will save them in Kaliyuga? The song says the cow, worshipped for ages, is helpless today; she fought the demons but was defeated by mankind.
In today's times, there is no Ram, no Krishna, no flute or bow. The nectar (Amrit) is in the share of the demons, and there is poison on the lips of Shiva's devotees. The song asks: where is Raghunandan Raja Ram? What kind of play is this by Nandalala? And where is the justice of Shiva Pashupati when the voiceless is being cut? What even Dashanan (Ravana) could not do, the murderers have done. And Nandi, who sat at Shiva's feet, is sold in markets today. He is hungry, wounded, thirsty, and wanders scorching in the sun. He who was the gatekeeper of Shiva's home, dies at the Shiva temple. Finally, the devotee repeats the same question: when God gives to everyone, why has he been left out? How long will he scream? Does God even listen, or does He ignore? What kind of disgrace is this? And then the song concludes with "O Sabke Paalanhaari". This song is not just a devotional song, but delivers a powerful social message that compels everyone to think.
