Jaidev Jaidev Aarti Song Description

This "Jaidev Jaidev Aarti" is a devotional and auspicious hymn sung in praise of Lord Ganesh. The lyrics of this song are traditional and describe the qualities, form, and grace of Lord Ganesh. In the first part, the song addresses the Lord as "SukhKarta DukhHarta," meaning the one who gives happiness and removes sorrow, and it is by his grace that all obstacles are removed. His beautiful body is adorned with vermilion (sindoor), and a necklace of pearls graces his neck. The main mantra of the song, "Jai Dev Jai Dev," deepens the feeling of devotion.

In the second part, there is a beautiful description of Lord Ganesh's ornaments and clothing. On his forehead is a jewel-studded crown, his body is smeared with sandalwood and saffron (chandan and kesar), and on his feet are jingling anklets (nupur). The song calls him "Mangal Murti" (the auspicious idol), and says that just by having his darshan (holy sight), all the desires of the heart are fulfilled. This part creates a vivid and divine image in the devotee's mind.

In the final part, the distinctive form of Lord Ganesh is described, such as his Lambodar (large belly), Peetambar (yellow garment), and his simple trunk (saral sond). He is worshipped as Trinayana (the three-eyed one) and Vakratund (the one with a curved trunk). The song says that Lord Ganesh waits for the call of his devotee Ram and protects him in times of trouble. This aarti has been sung by the famous singer Shreya Ghoshal in her melodious voice, and the music has been produced and arranged by Gulraj Singh. The song has been released under Merchant Records, and it gives devotees an experience of peace and blessings.
