Awadh Aaye Ram Hain Song Description
This song "Awadh Aaye Ram Hain" (अवध आए राम हैं) is filled with devotion and joy, sung by Megha Bhardwaj in her melodious voice. Its lyrics are written by Nagesh Prasad, and the music and composition have been created by Sumer Dangi. The music label for this song is also Megha Bhardwaj's own. In the first part, it is described that Lord Ram is the foundation of everyone's heart, He is the one who takes us beyond this world, and He alone is the abode that upholds the vow (vrat). The incomplete penance (tap) of Kaushalpur has been fulfilled today, because now Lord Ram has permeated everyone's heart. The song says that Ram has come home, i.e., to Awadh, and His arrival has brought joy everywhere. The line "Ghar apne Awadh aaye Ram hain" (Ram has come to His home in Awadh) is repeated again and again, which further enhances the significance of this arrival.
In the second part, the enthusiasm and preparation of the devotees is shown. When Ramlala (Lord Ram) comes home, auspiciousness and prosperity will spread in all four directions. People are decorating their homes and courtyards, lighting colors and four-sided lamps (choumukhi diye). All the work is complete, and every city and village is prosperous. Mother Kaushalya's heart is filled with joy, and Ayodhya too had long been waiting for the Lord's welcome. Torans (decorative door hangings) have been put up at every door, and flowers are showering from the sky. The song ends with the chanting of "Jai Shri Ram, Jai Shri Ram, Raja Ram" (Victory to Lord Ram, Victory to Lord Ram, King Ram), which is a beautiful example of devotion and celebration.
