Chehre Lyrics – Amitabh Bachchan | Chehre

Chehre Song Description

This song "Chehre" (चेहरे) is taken from the film "Chehre" , which features Amitabh Bachchan, Emraan Hashmi, Annu Kapoor, Krystle D'Souza, and Rhea Chakraborty in lead roles. This song has been voiced by Amitabh Bachchan himself, the music is by Vishal - Shekhar, and the lyrics are written by Rumy Jaffry. This song has been released under the label Zee Music Company.

The lyrics of this song are very deep and philosophical, telling the story of faces. The lyrics say that faces bear the speed of age and the blow of time, but even though the body may pass away, the faces always remain alive. These faces reside in lost dreams and in the bonds of loved ones; sometimes they seem familiar, sometimes unknown. While embracing in love, hiding sins, these faces travel through centuries, like the flow of rivers. They burn in the fire of wealth, and in their ashes, a person feels extinguished.

The song further says that both innocent and cunning faces exist here, and these are the ones that buy and sell. Childhood, youth, and old age — at every age, a person looks at themselves in the mirror, trembles, and calls out to their past reflection. In the world, all are humans, yet everyone has a distinct identity — and it is this identity that makes faces feel ashamed. But in the end, the message is that the body will perish, but the faces will remain alive forever.
