Beda Paar Lyrics in English Letters (Romanized)

Ho, Chhod Ke Chali Main
Ghar Piya Ji Ke Saath
Naam Unka Hi Bolen
Mehndi Ke Haath

Pallu Aankhon Tak Aaya,
Kaise Hon Nazren Chaar?
Sainya Ji Sang Hai
To Lagega Beda Paar,
Hoy

Hai, Pehna Hai
Suit-Boot Hamra Piya
Saato Janam Ka
Ticket Hai Liya

Ho, Ab Is Safar Ki
Hui Hai Shuruaat
Thama Inhone
Jab Haathon Mein Haath

Anjaani Si Dagar Hai,
Ye Jiya Beqarar
Sainya Ji Sang Hai
To Lagega Beda Paar,
Hoy

Ho, Angna Mein Ped
Wahan Hoga Ki Nahin?
Hoga To Jhula
Us Pe Hoga Ki Nahin?

Kharate Sainya Ji
Lenge To Nahin?
Lete Honge To
Sone Denge Ki Nahin?

Ho, Kaam Par Jo
Jayein Sainya, Aayein Phir Raat
Jab Ghar Na Honge,
Kis Se Karungi Baat?

Ye Saare Hi Sawaal
Main Sochun Lagataar
Sainya Ji Sang Hai
To Lagega Beda Paar,
Hoy…!!!

Beda Paar Song Description

This song is "Beda Paar", from the film Laapataa Ladies, which stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, and Ravi Kishan, and is produced by Aamir Khan Productions.

The song is voiced by Sona Mohapatra, composed by Ram Sampath, with lyrics written by Prashant Pandey, and the music label is T-Series.

At the beginning of the song, a new bride is going to her new home with her husband (piya), and she says that her husband's name is in the henna on her hands, her veil (pallu) is up to her eyes, and she feels shy meeting his gaze, but she says that when her beloved (saiyyan) is with her, every difficulty (beda) will be crossed.
Then she describes how her husband is dressed in a suit and boots, that this journey is for seven lifetimes, now that he has taken her hand. This path is unfamiliar, her heart is restless, but with her saiyyan, everything will be easy.

In the later lyrics, the bride thinks about the new house — will there be a tree in the courtyard, if so, will there be a swing? Will her husband snore, and if he does, will he let her sleep?
She worries that when her husband goes to work and returns at night, who will she talk to when she's alone? These questions trouble her, but she repeats again that with Saiyyan Ji by her side, the boat will be safely ferried across.
This song very beautifully portrays the hopes, fears, and faith of a newlywed woman.
