The lyricist Kalim Sheikh has written its words, which are in an old Bhojpuri-Hindi mixed style.

In this song, the heroine says that she has lost her heart to her beloved's face, meaning she is captivated by their appearance. The lyrics use metaphors of the moon and moonlight, such as "Sab mukh dekhe chandra ko, main mukh dekha toy" (Everyone sees the moon, but I saw your face) — here she says that everyone else looks at the moon, but I have seen your face, and you are my moon. Further, "Rang de mohe sajan, ab toh apne hi rang" (Color me, my beloved, now in your own hue) — she pleads with her beloved to color her in their own shade. This entire song beautifully presents love, surrender, and losing one's heart, featuring artists like Amyth Sethi, Mimoh Chakraborty, Govind Namdev, and Mukesh Tiwari. If you are reading the lyrics of this song, understand that it is a blend of classical and folk styles, where phrases like "Naina vaar gayi" (I have given my eyes) and "Dil haar gayi" (I have lost my heart) are repeated to deepen the emotion. In this way, this song is not only for music lovers, but also for those who appreciate the old-school style of love.
