Sitara Lyrics in English Letters (Romanized)

Dard Bola
Tod Doonga Saari Khwahishen
Chhod De Tu
Manzilon Ke Saare Khwaabe

Tu Nahin Hai Kaabil
Na Kar Sakega Haasil
Jo Tu Sochta Hai
Kyun? Zid Mein Bewajah Hai

Maine Bas Dua Ki
Aur Suni Khuda Ki
Usi Ki Rehmatein

Jo...
Main Hua Sitara, Main Hua Sitara
O...
Main Hua Sitara, Main Hua Sitara
O...
Main Hua Sitara, Main Hua Sitara
O...

O Ghar Mein Bola
Kuch To Kar Le Kaamkaaj Tu
Baghawaton Ka
Shikayaton Ka Kar Ilaaj Tu

Tu Nahin Hai Kaabil
Na Kar Sakega Haasil
Jo Tu Sochta Hai
Kyun? Zid Mein Bewajah Hai

Maine Bas Dua Ki
Aur Suni Khuda Ki
Usi Ki Rehmatein

Jo... O...
Main Hua Sitara, Main Hua Sitara
O...
Main Hua Sitara, Main Hua Sitara
O...
Main Hua Sitara, Main Hua Sitara
O...

Bikhar Gaya
Jo Dard Tha Mere Hisse Ka
Hai Khud Khuda
Kalam-Nawa Mere Kisse Ka

Bahut Ghani Bhari Thi
Din-O-Raat Tanhai,
Subah Hui To Mit Gayi
Zakhm Ki Parchhai.

Damak Utha Wo Khwaab,
Chamak Uthi Umeed Aayi,
Haseen Raah Is Dua Pe
Jhuk Ke Al-Wai.

Bikhar Gaya
Jo Dard Tha Mere Hisse Ka
Hai Khud Khuda
Kalam-Nawa Mere Kisse Ka

O... O... O...
Bikhar Gaya
Jo Dard Tha Mere Hisse Ka
Hai Khud Khuda
Kalam-Nawa Mere Kisse Ka

Sitara Song Description

This song "Sitara", which is part of Vishal Mishra's first album "Pagalpan" and released under the T-Series label, is a very emotional and inspirational song. Its lyrics tell a story of struggle and then victory, where the singer talks about his pain and failure. The lyrics begin with "Dard bola, tod doonga saari khwahishein, chhod de tu manzilon ke saare khwab" meaning "when pain speaks, it makes you want to leave behind all your desires and dreams." Then comes a doubtful section "Tu nahi hai kaabil, na kar sakega haasil" like someone is discouraging him, saying you are not worthy and you will achieve nothing.

But the mood of the song changes when the singer says "Maine bas dua ki aur suni khuda ki" meaning "I just prayed and listened to God." Then the repeated chorus comes "Main hua sitara" meaning "I became a star." Here there is a turning point, where he feels himself becoming a star through the strength of his prayer and faith. This part is very uplifting and gives hope to the listener. In the next part of the song, social pressure is mentioned "Ghar mein bola, kuch toh kar le kaamkaaj tu" meaning "at home they said, go do something with your life." This is about family expectations and dealing with rebellion. Then the same doubt-filled lines are repeated, followed again by the powerful chorus "Main hua sitara", which shows confidence and self-belief.

In the final part of the song, the lyrics become deeper. "Bikhra gaya jo dard tha mere hisse ka, hai khud khuda kalam-nava mere kisse ka" meaning "the pain that was my share has scattered, now God Himself is writing the story of my life." Here the singer says his pain has scattered and now he himself is the writer of his own story. Then he talks about darkness and loneliness "Bahut ghani bhari thi din-o-raat tanhaai" meaning "day and night were filled with deep loneliness." But as morning arrives, the shadow of the wound disappears, and a beautiful path appears. This entire song shows the journey from struggle to success, where Vishal Mishra's vocals and composition, and Vaibhav Pani's music production, perfectly capture the emotions. The journey from the lyrics "Dard bola" to "Main hua sitara" makes the song very relatable and motivational.
