Kanha Lyrics in English Letters (Romanized)

Mohe Aaye Na Koi Mantra Kanhaiya
Suno Tum Mera Man
Poojen Ge Sab Prem Karega
Mere Jaisa Tumhein Kaun?

Bas Mein Ab Nahin Nigoade Baanvare
Kheenchti Hai Galiyaan Tohri Saanvare

Kanha, Kanha Karun
Kanha, Kanha Ratun
Kanha, Kanha Japun

Rom-Rom Tera Ho Gaya,
Kanha Mere Kanha
Haal Kya Ye? Mera Ho Gaya,
Kanha Mere Kanha
Rom-Rom Tera Ho Gaya..

Neel Gagan Jaane
Bahti Pavan Jaane,
Tu Kyun Jaan Nahin Paata?
Jamuna Mein Kalkal
Jab Se Hai Jal,
Tab Se Teri Hai Radha.

Neel Gagan Jaane
Bahti Pavan Jaane,
Tu Kyun Jaan Nahin Paata?
Jamuna Mein Kalkal
Jab Se Hai Jal,
Tab Se Teri Hai Radha.

Koi Akshay Nahin Aur Jaana,
Jab Se Man Mein Likha -
Kanha, Kanha.
Maine Gaaya Hai Geeton Mein Tujhko,
Tu Bhi Ik Din Mujhe Gunugunaana.

Phagun Vagun Na Jaane Re
Radha Bholi,
Jis Din Tu Rang De Chunariya,
Wo Hi Meri Holi.

Meri Neendon Mein So Ja
Kanha, Radha Ka Ho Ja,
Neendon Mein So Ja,
Radha Ka Ho Ja.

Main Hi Tere Geeton Ki Hoon Madhuri,
Hothon Se Laga Le Jaise Bansuri.
Kanha-Kanha Karun,
Kanha-Kanha Ratun,
Kanha-Kanha Japun.

Rom-Rom Tera Ho Gaya,
Kanha Mere Kanha
Haal Kya Ye? Mera Ho Gaya,
Kanha Mere Kanha
Rom-Rom Tera Ho Gaya..

Neel Gagan Jaane
Bahti Pavan Jaane,
Tu Kyun Jaan Nahin Paata?
Jamuna Mein Kalkal
Jab Se Hai Jal,
Tab Se Teri Hai Radha.

Neel Gagan Jaane
Bahti Pavan Jaane,
Tu Kyun Jaan Nahin Paata?
Jamuna Mein Kalkal
Jab Se Hai Jal,
Tab Se Teri Hai Radha.

Radha Radha Radha
Radha Radha Radha Radha
Radha Radha Radha
Radha Radha Radha Radha

Bansi Mein Sur Jabse
Tab Se Teri Hai Radha
Jab Se Ye Srishti Hai
Tab Se Teri Hai Radha

Kanha Kanha
Man Ki Aankhon Se Tu Dekh Re
Radha-Kanha, Kanha-Radha
Dono Ek Re

Radha Kanha, Dono Ek Re
Radha-Kanha, Kanha-Radha
Dono Ek Re....!

Kanha Song Description

This song, titled “Kanha”, was created for the movie The Kerala Story 2, starring Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia, and Aishwarya Ojha in lead roles. The composer of the song is Rahul Suhas, who is also one of the singers, alongside Palak Muchhal. The lyrics have been written by the renowned lyricist Manoj Muntashir, and the song has been released under Sunshine Music.

The song is a blend of devotion and love, beautifully portraying the sacred relationship between Radha and Krishna (Kanha). The lyrics begin with the line “Mohe aaye na koi mantra Kanhaiya, suno tum mera mann”, where the singer says she does not need any sacred chant, she simply wants Kanha to listen to her heart. Then comes the line “Poojeinge sab prem karega, mere jaisa tumhe kaun?”, meaning everyone may worship you, but who will love you the way I do?

Throughout the song, there is a repeated chant: “Kanha, Kanha karun, Kanha, Kanha ratun”, which reflects a state of devotion and meditation. Another beautiful line says, “Rom-rom tera ho gaya, Kanha mere Kanha”, meaning every fiber (tiny part) of my being belongs to you, Kanha. The song also uses imagery from nature, such as “Neel gagan jaane, behti pawan jaane”, meaning the blue sky and the flowing wind know the truth, yet Kanha does not realize that Radha belongs to him. The line “Jamuna mein kalkal jab se hai jal, tab se teri hai Radha” expresses that ever since the waters have flowed in the Yamuna, Radha has belonged to you — showing that their bond is eternal (without beginning or end).

In the later part of the song, a heartfelt expression appears: “Maine gaya hai geeton mein tujhko, tu bhi ik din mujhe gungunana”, where Radha says that she has sung about him in her songs, and one day he too should hum (sing softly) about her. The festival of Holi is also mentioned in the line “Phagun vagun na jaane re Radha bholi, jis din tu rang de chunariya, woh hi meri Holi”, meaning innocent Radha does not care about the month of Phagun; the day Kanha colors her veil (chunariya), that alone will be her true Holi.

A very poetic line follows: “Main hi tere geeton ki hoon madhuri, hothon se laga le jaise bansuri”, where Radha says she is the sweetness (pleasant melody) of his songs, and he should hold her to his lips like a flute.

Finally, the song concludes with a powerful message: “Radha-Kanha, Kanha-Radha, dono ek re”, meaning Radha and Kanha are not separate but one. Their love and spiritual connection (divine bond) are unbreakable, and the song beautifully expresses this unity and devotion in a deeply emotional way.
