Durga Gayatri Mantra Lyrics – Shreya Jain, Nakul Chugh | Attack

Durga Gayatri Mantra Song Description

This song is "Durga Gayatri Mantra" (दुर्गा गायत्री मंत्र), which is a devotional track from the movie Attack. This film features John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. This song has been voiced by Shreya Jain and Nakul Chugh, while the music has been composed by Shashwat Sachdev. The lyrics are traditional, meaning it is an ancient mantra that was not written by any single author but has come from the Sanatan tradition. This song has been released by Zee Music Company.

The lyrics begin with "Om sharanagat deenart, paritran parayani" (I seek refuge in the Goddess, who is devoted to the protection of the humble and the afflicted) — meaning, O Mother, who is always ready to protect the humble and the distressed, I have come to your shelter. "Sarvasyarti hare devi, Narayani namostute" (O Goddess, who removes the pain of all, O Narayani, I bow to you) — this means, O Goddess, you are the remover of everyone's sorrows, so I bow to you, O Narayani. This mantra glorifies Goddess Durga and awakens feelings of strength, courage, and protection in devotees.

In this song, the chanting of "Om" creates a calm and sacred atmosphere, while the rhythm and music are in an Indian classical style, which connects the listeners to a devotional sentiment. Although this is a traditional mantra, Shashwat Sachdev has presented it with a modern touch so that it feels more impactful in the context of the movie Attack. At the same time, the blend of Shreya Jain and Nakul Chugh's voices makes this mantra even more melodious. Overall, this song is a wonderful confluence of devotional energy and cinematic grandeur, giving inner peace and positivity to listeners of all ages.
