SM Entertainment Confirms EXO’s Unified Path Amidst Individual Ventures

In a groundbreaking development, SM Entertainment has announced that three talented members of the iconic K-pop group EXO – Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen – are set to launch their individual activities under the banner of INB100, a venture founded by Baekhyun himself. The move comes as the group enters their 13th year, and the agency assures fans that EXO will continue to thrive collectively while embracing diverse creative pursuits.

Alluring New Beginnings at INB100

Soompi reports that Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen will not only maintain their group activities with SM Entertainment but will also explore new horizons through INB100. The agency, responsible for managing EXO-CBX, promises to be a catalyst for the members’ artistic experiments and creative challenges. An INB100 source revealed, “The start of this label is based on long-standing deliberation and aspirations of the members.”

Unveiling the Members’ Musical Individualities

The INB100 statement emphasizes its commitment to accentuating the unique musical identities of Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen. It reads, “We plan on further highlighting the members’ musical individualities and colors, and going forward, we will play the role of the starting line for the members to take on creative challenges and experiments to communicate with fans.”

SM Entertainment’s Reassurance on EXO’s Unified Front

Addressing concerns about the group’s future, SM Entertainment released a statement affirming that all eight members of EXO will continue activities together. Despite individual pursuits, EXO will showcase new music and performances, maintaining their connection with fans through a fan meeting scheduled for April and various activities. The agency expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of fans and promised to work tirelessly to nurture the growth of each member.

Contracts and Collaborations

SM Entertainment clarified that exclusive contracts with members who renewed are still in effect. D.O., whose contract expired, agreed to partake in EXO activities, and discussions are ongoing about future endeavors. For Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin, the agency agreed to facilitate individual activities under their existing exclusive contracts. The agency expressed dedication to supporting EXO’s collective journey and the individual growth of its members.

D.O.’s Transition to Soosoo

In a related development, D.O. has left SM Entertainment and joined Company Soosoo, a new agency initiated by his manager following the expiration of his contract.
