Shiv Shankar Lyrics in English Letters (Romanized)

Shiv Shankar O Shiv Shankar
Shiv Shankar O Shiv Shankar
Shiv Shankar O Shiv Shankar
Shiv Shankar O Shiv Shankar

Shiv Shankar
Tu Hi Mera Sahaara
Shiv Shankar
Bhavsagar Ka Kinaara

Charanon Mein Apne Sharan De
Hai Tujhe Poojna Aamaran Re
Saara Jagat Tera Mandir Hai
Har Kaal Mahakaal Tere Andar Hai

Din Rain Jade Sankat Hain
Mere Ghaav Ki Mujh Pe Lapat Hai...
Har Le Zara..
Shiv Shankar, Tu Hi Mera Sahaara
Shiv Shankar, Bhavsagar Ka Kinaara

Har Har Mahadev
Lau Laagi Tujh Se
Main Tera Anuraagi
Pehle Hi Pag Se

Teri Murti Kya Banaun Main
Kan Kan Mein Hi Tujhko
Jo Paaun Main

Mera Kaamp Raha Jo Sapna
Rakh Haath Uspe Tu Apna...
Bhole Zara..

Shiv Shankar, Tu Hi Mera Sahaara
Shiv Shankar, Bhavsagar Ka Kinaara
Shiv Shankar, Mahadev
Shiv Shankar, Tu Hi Mera Sahaara
Shiv Shankar, Bhavsagar Ka Kinaara
Mahadev, Mahadev

Shiv Shankar O Shiv Shankar
Shiv Shankar O Shiv Shankar....!

Shiv Shankar Song Description

This song is "Shiv Shankar", which is a part of the Baramulla movie, starring Manav Kaul and Bhasha Sumbli in the lead roles. The song has been released by Zee Music Company.

The vocals of the song are given by Subhadeep Das Chowdhury and Pt. Prem Nath Shastri. It has been composed and produced by Shor Police, which is the duo of Clinton Cerejo and Bianca Gomes. The lyrics are written by Siddhant Kaushal, and the melody and opening lyrics are adapted from a Sanskrit Shiv Stotram.

The lyrics of the song express praise for Lord Shiva and the feeling of praying to him. It begins with the chant "Shiv Shankar O Shiv Shankar". Then, in the song, Shiva is described as one's support and the shore of the ocean of life (meaning the solution to life's troubles). The devotee asks to be given refuge at his feet, stating that they must worship him for their entire life. It says the whole world is his temple, and that in every era, the Mahakaal (Shiva) resides within them.

In the later part, the devotee mentions his sorrows and troubles, saying that day and night are filled with difficulties and that his wounds are burning. He prays to Shiva saying "Har Le Zara" (Please take this away). Then, chanting "Har Har Mahadev", he says he is his devotee. He adds there is no need to make an idol of him because he sees him in every particle. In the end, he wishes for Shiva to place his hand on his frightened dreams, and saying "Bhole Zara", he repeats "Shiv Shankar, Tu Hi Mera Sahara" (Shiv Shankar, you are my only support). The song creates a devotional and energetic atmosphere, showcasing devotion and faith in Shiva.
