Sannata Lyrics in English Letters (Romanized)

Dhaara Ke Vipareet Chale
Apni Hi Naav Dubaa Beithe
Aag Lagaane Waale Hi
Apni Tashreef Jala Beithe

Ho Ho Dhaara Ke Vipareet Chale
Apni Hi Naav Dubaa Beithe
Aag Lagaane Waale Hi
Apni Tashreef Jala Beithe

Jhooth Ki Patloonen Ne Utari Hai
Sach Ki Pagdi Jeeti Hai
Aaj Hawayein Bhagwa Hai
Hum Aisi Dhaak Jama Beithe

Jeetne Ki Hamein Do Badhaai
Itna Sannata Kyun Hai Bhai
Munh Karo Meetha Khao Mithai
Itna Sannata Kyun Hai Bhai

Jeetne Ki Hamein Do Badhaai
Itna Sannata, Sannata,
Sannata Kyun Hai Bhai

Tum Jiska Uphaas Udaa Ke
Samjhe The Khota Sikka
Aaj Usi Ne Baazi Maari
Ban Ke Hukm Ka Ikka

Tumne To Googlee Daali Thi
Maara Hai Humne Chakka
Roke Se Ab Nahin Rukega
Rashtravaad Ka Chakka

Daal Chamachon Ki
Ab Gal Na Pai
Itna Sannata Kyun Hai Bhai

Daal Chamachon Ki
Ab Gal Na Pai
Itna Sannata Kyun Hai Bhai

Bhor Badlaav Ki Khilkhilaai
Itna Sannata, Sannata,
San San Sannata Kyun Hai Bhai

Ab Khair Nahin Jay Chandron Ki
Hai Goonj Raha Jaykara
Itihaas Naya Hum Likh Denge
Modenge Ulti Dhaara

Kitni Hi Kurbani Di Hai
Laane Ko Vakt Hamaara
Ha Phir Se Sone Ki Chidiyaan
Hoga Ye Desh Hamaara

Ab Jo Baari Hamaari Hai Aayi
Itna Sannata Kyun Hai Bhai
Le Raha Hai Samay Angadaai
Itna Sannata, Sannata,
Sannata Kyun Hai Bhai

Itna Sannata Kyun Hai Bhai…!!!

Sannata Song Description

This song, "Sannata" (Silence), is from the movie JNU - Jahangir National University. The film stars Urvashi Rautela, Siddharth Bodke, Ravi Kishan, Piyush Mishra, and Vijay Raaz in lead roles. The song has been released by Zee Music Company. It is sung by Sonu Nigam, Lakshay Sharma, and Supriya Pathak, with music composed by Vijay Verma and lyrics written by Rajesh Manthan.

The song begins with the line "Dhaara ke vipreet chale, apni hi naav duba baithe" (They go against the current, only to drown their own boat). This line makes a deep point, stating that those who go against the flow of society or spread violence often end up harming themselves. The lyrics then progress to "Jhooth ki patloon ne utri hai, sach ki pagdi jeeti hai" (The trousers of lies have come down, the turban of truth has won), meaning the foundation of lies has crumbled and truth has prevailed. References to "Bhagwa hawaayein" (Saffron winds) and "Dhaak jamane" (establishing dominance) convey a sense of new change and power.

The main verse repeatedly asks, "Itna sannata kyun hai bhai?" (Why is there so much silence, brother?), as if questioning the quiet after a victory. Using cricket terms like "gugli" (googly) and "chhakka" (six), the song indicates a strategic win has been achieved, and the "Rashtravad ka chakka" (wheel of nationalism) will not stop now. In the final part, lines like "Itihaas naya hum likh denge, modenge ulti dhaara" (We will write a new history, we will turn the tide) show a hope for sacrifice for the nation and a new golden future. This song is a powerful anthem filled with fervor, change, and patriotic sentiment.
